MUTATION

SÉRIZIER MUST HAVE TAKEN THE PATH NEXT TO THE CHURCH, WHERE NOW A SCULPTURE NESTLES
(Place Souham)

  • That work and trees soften the aridity of low-cost construction

  • The same small space holds a medical testing site. A medical center is steps away...

...and a mosaic about a metro map

A father points his tennis racket as he explains the mosaic to his son.

Serizier turned right on a street where now residences for seniors align
(Rue du Château des Rentiers)

  • They are City-managed for retired or handicapped people with modest means

One of four residences. There are seven in the district.

During the pandemic the caretaker disinfected floors and door handles three times a day and placed an antiseptic solution and paper towels in the entry, while the City distributed masks with filters. During a heat wave (in 2020) it distributed fans and bottles of water.

Free activities for residents include workshops in crafts and writing, yoga, a chorale, theater and dance.

Caretaker and resident
"The residents are like my family," she said with tears in her eyes when an old man died.

The Mayor comes for Christmas. The caretaker is on his right. Next to them are members of the team.

Posters at the entry : Left, excursions outside Paris, the fee based on income. Right, accompaniment for seniors who fear withdrawing cash from  ATM machines (the service is free and tips are forbidden).

  • A private residence for seniors was recently been built, with City support

voting is on Sunday, polling sites are numerous, there is no gerrymandering, the government partially finances the parties and companies may not contribute, candidates are elected by direct popular vote and despite the recent establishment of a right-wing television station, there is no equivalent to the Murdoch empire.
