8.4.4. ARTS AND OPENINGS DUE TO THE MAYOR

 

THE FRESCOES DO NOT COME FROM A VACUUM: A VIBRANT ARTISTS' COMMUNITY* FORMS A BASE WITH WHICH THE MAYOR COLLABORATES

But the openings the Mayor proposes go farther: here are a few from City Hall's weekly bulletin, in 2025 and 2026.

One thinks of Versailles where Louis XIV would surprise courtiers by constant inventions.  

The Mayor is the opposite of the king  — notice the sneakers — 

but he has made this district a cultural center of comparable force.

Kimberly MacGregor, wife of the artist whose work is being inaugurated, addresses the public.

The Mayor inaugurates every work, 

presents the artist, 

offers refreshments 

and stays to speak with the public.
