THE OPÉRA: HIDING THE DONORS' VOID


GIANT VOIDS APPEAR ON OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE EDIFICE. THAT ON THE LEFT EMPHASIZES THE EMPEROR'S ENTRANCE, THAT ON THE RIGHT THE DONORS'  

There the city's wealthiest men left their carriages. Like the rampart vestige at the Louvre, a way is found to hide it.

One needs an aerial photo to grasp its existence. The web's ground-level shots omit it. 



The visitors' exit leads to a passage that follows its wall.  


An only opening is sealed. 


The passage is long because the void is. 


It finally reaches the street.


 
Passers-by follow the route in reverse. 


Now the void is covered over...
