III.3. A PATH THROUGH "REAL PARIS"


A FOUNTAIN, A BAKERY, A MARKET, A CITY HALL, A VERY LONG PARK AND A FORMER BUS DEPOT

Start at this fountain on Tuesday or Friday mornings:

Buy a sandwich at the bakery that won the contest, "best baguette in Paris:"

Then discover the city's longest market:
("Marché Daumesnil")

At the last stand turn right and continue to City Hall...
(At n° 130 avenue de Daumesnil)

Memorials to the Dead of World War I and to Jewish children deported during the Occupation.

Climb the stairs that face the monument to the Green Flow,  
which crosses much of eastern Paris...

Then walk down the stairs, cross the street and come upon a former bus depot.
(Now Ground Control at 81 rue Charleroi)
